Description:
The Capital Markets IT group is looking for a talented Business Analyst with a balance of technical knowledge and business acumen to partner with business groups and guide development teams to conceptualize, design and deliver new functional processes. The Business Analyst will apply creativity, business understanding, analytical processes, critical thinking, experience and project management skills to create, document and guide the implementation of application solutions for internal initiatives
Key Responsibilities:
- Will be working on Repo Initiatives
- Liaise with business (Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations) to understand strategies and interpret underlying business needs
- Propose and design technology solutions and transform them into clear business and technical requirements
- Project manage to achieve successful implementations
- Utilize query tools to confirm data quality and investigate questions
- Track, resolve and escalate issues for own projects while keeping relevant stakeholders informed
- Prepare and maintain project deliverables, including reporting and tracking statuses
Required Skills: FIS phase 3 solution ( trade processing, booking & settlement) with focus on functional / business experience
- SunGard Phase 3 Back-Office System
- Financial Services industry experience
- Repo Product lines – (Repo’s, Triparty Repo’s, Sponsored Repo’s Reverse Triparty and Same Day Repo)
- Back office (P&L Reporting, conversion schedules)
- Settlements
- Accounting or Reconciliation
- Finance
- Trade flow analysis or Trade flow capture
- Strong knowledge of the full development testing lifecycle: requirements gathering, gap analysis, creating and executing test plans, UAT and BAU testing.
- Strong cross-group collaboration and relationship management skills including coordinating with geographically dispersed teams to achieve deliverables
- Strong skills in developing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
- Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Visio, Power Point, Word, SharePoint, and JIRA
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of SQL Programming a plus
