Job Title: Microsoft Platforms Architect

Location: Remote

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Microsoft Platforms Architect with deep expertise across Windows environments, endpoint management, and hybrid cloud solutions. You will be a critical member of the Customer Success team-guiding clients through modern workplace transformations with a focus on Windows, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Windows 365 platforms.

Core Responsibilities
  • Architect, deploy, and manage Windows 10/11 at scale, including configuration, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer Windows 365 Cloud PC environments-provisioning, licensing, optimizing, and supporting user experience.
  • Leverage Microsoft Intune for endpoint and application management, security baselines, and dynamic provisioning.
  • Implement and troubleshoot Entra ID (Azure AD) with both Hybrid and Cloud Join scenarios.
  • Maintain compliance with Windows Update for Business (WUFB) and LAPS/Windows LAPS.
  • Compare and apply Windows 365 vs. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) based on customer use cases.
  • Optimize Cloud PC networking with a deep understanding of bandwidth, latency, and connectivity.

Security & Compliance
  • Deploy and integrate Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) with monitoring tools and policy enforcement.
  • Design and implement Conditional Access, BitLocker, Windows Hello for Business, and Zero Trust security principles.
  • Align with compliance frameworks like NIST 800-53 and ensure secure endpoint management.

App Deployment & Modern Management
  • Use WinGet and MSIX for application packaging and delivery.
  • Plan the transition from Microsoft Store for Business to alternate deployment methods.
  • Support authentication strategies: SSO, MFA, and scoped access via RBAC.

Networking & Connectivity
  • Implement VPN and Always-On VPN solutions.
  • Configure Wi-Fi authentication (802.1X) and manage essential networking protocols: DNS, DHCP, firewalls.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting
  • Analyze logs (Event Viewer, Defender, Performance Logs) and use tools like Sysinternals for system health.
  • Provide remote support through Quick Assist and Remote Desktop solutions.

Key Qualifications
  • 8+ years in systems architecture, IT consulting, or enterprise support roles.
  • Strong PowerShell skills for scripting and automation.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator across cross-functional teams.
  • A customer-first mindset with a balance of security, usability, and innovation.

Preferred Certifications
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • Azure Administrator Associate

Bonus Skills
  • Experience comparing Microsoft cloud offerings with competitor platforms.
  • Proven success in planning, deploying, and managing hybrid cloud infrastructures.
  • Advanced Microsoft certifications highly preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $91,457 - $137,186, plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies. Benefits available to eligible employees in this role include medical, dental, and vision insurance, comprehensive employee assistance program, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off and holidays.
