Windows Server Systems Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Windows Server Systems Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, engineer and maintain Windows Server operating systems, ensure optimal performance and reliability
• Manage Active Directory environments, including user account management, group policies, and security settings
• Test and deploy operating system and server hardware firmware patches, ensure compatibility and minimal disruption to services
• Implement domain hardening with Active Directory Group Policy configurations and PowerShell
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for enterprise-level automation, improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention
• Focus on security and risk when authoring scripts and implementing solutions
• Monitor application vendor communications for security patching and assess potential impact
• Document and test application patching processes to ensure smooth and secure deployments
• Operate with a high degree of independence, manage tasks and projects effectively with minimal supervision
• Administer CyberArk applications, including installation, configuration, and maintenance

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong experience in Windows Server administration and Active Directory management
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and system management
• Familiarity with server hardware firmware patching processes
• Understanding of application patching processes and security considerations
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex issues, and develop solutions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Desired skills:

• Relevant certifications, e.g., MCSE, CompTIA Server+, or similar

Pay Range: $78.04-$86.04
