Job Details
Tandym Group is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Microsoft Systems Administrator to join a dedicated team onsite in Oakridge, TN.
This role requires onsite presence 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage Hyper-V Clusters, including shared storage, disk configurations, and load balancing.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and system management.
- Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to support Fortinet switches, routers, firewalls, and access points at the Oak Ridge Facilities
- Perform intermediate-level network engineering tasks, including cabling, configuration, and diagnostics.
- Monitor system performance, ensure uptime, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
- Maintain documentation for systems architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Provide on-site support 5 days per week, ensuring rapid response to manufacturing needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Microsoft Systems Administrator.
- Proven expertise with Hyper-V Clustering in production environments.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, and PowerShell scripting.
- Working knowledge of network engineering, including cabling and basic switch/router configuration.
- Experience with Fortinet network devices (switches, routers, firewalls).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, or Fortinet NSE are a bonus
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial IT environments.
- Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage systems and backup solutions.
