Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join growing data team in Chicago, IL. In this hybrid role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and platforms that support analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Build and optimize data solutions using SQL, Databricks, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Collaborate with analytics, data science, and business teams to deliver reliable data models
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and performance across data systems
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments
- Support reporting and analytics initiatives by enabling clean, well-structured datasets
Required Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) services (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling
- Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with on-site collaboration in Chicago
