Position: Principal .NET Engineer
Location: Miami, FL - hybrid (open to remote)
Duration : 6 month contract with potential extension
Position Overview:
Our client is looking for a Principal .NET Engineer to assist with the remainder of their .NET -> .NET Core migration. There are still a lot of remnants of .net that are causing problems. Need someone to come in and assist with this, who knows the standards and issues with the core framework. Somewhat of an architect to help with benefits in doing things a particular way. Looking for someone hands on, but with thought level leadership.
Need a principal or architect level resource with experience in .NET & C#, but specifically .NET core (version 5 and up. The legacy version of .NET stops at 4 so that's why he is specifying version 5)
This person will also be responsible for assisting in the transition to a centralized logging system (splunk, elastic search, etc). Anybody that has implemented a centralized logging system before would be a good fit for this. Monitoring or observability tools, open valenitry, distributed logging, etc. This role is mainly on prem, and they will not be doing much in the cloud.
Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
Working closely with Tech Leads of scrum teams as thought leadership for .NET and Logging/observability, infra development, automated testing/unit testing as well.
MUST Haves:
1. 7+ years' experience in .NET core - (v. 5+)
2. C#
3. Experience implementing a centralized Logging/observability system
4. Automated testing - unit testing/integration testing within code - X unit, MS test, etc, mocking
5. On prem
6. Open Telemetry

1. Active git hub profile
