Job Description
Position Summary:
The Manager, Network Services is responsible for executing against the strategic network roadmap, implementing new capabilities, and daily management of the company's network communication systems. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of all network services, including data centers, wide area networks, cloud environments, and related infrastructure. The Manager will lead a team of network engineers, contractor resources, and managed services to deliver high-quality and cost-effective services across multiple business segments. This role will also help mentor junior engineers, grow skills within the team, identify pathways for career advancement, and align skills to strategic shifts in network strategy as technology continues to evolve.
Job Responsibility
- Support and execute against the strategic vision for network services for the enterprise.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance service delivery. Deploy automation capabilities to eliminate manual tasks and human error. Act as a key escalation contact during critical incidents impacting network services.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders regarding service performance and initiatives. Collaborate with other IT leaders and business units to understand and meet their network and voice needs.
- Contribute to the design and oversee implementation, maintenance, and support of SD-WAN, LAN, datacenter and wireless networks. Ensure network reliability, performance, and security. Manage network capacity planning, scalability, and observability.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Participate in regular security assessments and audits at the direction of Information Security.
- Assist with budget development and manage the budget for network services. Help negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of network and professionals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment across a blend of FTE, contractors, and managed services.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Degree(s) required: IT, Computer Science or related field,
or equivalent industry experience
- 5 to 7 years of experience
- At least 5 years in a leadership role showing progressive growth in responsibility
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred degree(s): Bachelors, Information Systems or Computer Science
- 10+ years
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise scale network and voice services
- CCIE, CISSP, SAFe, Scrum Alliance, PMP
