New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is looking for a GMP Building Engineer for a full time position with our client.

Compensation
: $28.00 - $37.00/hr

$3,000 potential sign on bonus
Potential relocation assistance for the right candidate
M-F 11pm-7:30am (3rd shift)

As a 3rd Shift GMP Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational reliability and regulatory compliance of a cGMP production facility. You will support manufacturing operations by performing maintenance, repair, calibration, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment, utilities, and facility systems required for controlled manufacturing environments.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services team and directly supports product quality, equipment uptime, and regulatory readiness through preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and adherence to established GMP standards. The position supports preventive maintenance, emergency response, and inspections at a large on-site pharmaceutical facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on a variety of facility and utility systems, including HVAC, purified water systems, compressed air, and related mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Conduct routine inspections, testing, and calibrations to ensure equipment operates in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and utility system issues, implementing effective repairs to minimize downtime and production impact.
  • Assist with the installation, modification, and qualification of new or existing facility equipment and systems, following approved change control procedures.
  • Review, execute, and close work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate and complete documentation to support audit readiness.
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for equipment failures or deviations and assist in the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements, FDA guidelines, internal quality standards, and site safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, strictly following safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
  • Provide off-shift support for critical alarms, equipment issues, and facility-related emergencies as required.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school certification
  • 1-2 years of relevant maintenance experience listed above in job responsibilities.
  • Previous experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in a controlled environment or cleanroom is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and equipment manuals.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with hands-on experience supporting industrial equipment and building systems.
  • Experience using a CMMS for maintenance tracking and documentation.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with a high attention to detail required in a regulated environment.
