About the Job

As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting technical product implementations and ensuring customer satisfaction through hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electronic hardware. This is a full-time, onsite position based in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities
  • Perform technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements based on customer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, recommending solutions aligned with product and customer requirements.
  • Conduct technical training sessions and product briefings for customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Serve as the on-site technical representative, ensuring seamless communication and support for the customer.
  • Execute hands-on tasks including testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and electro-optical hardware.
  • Use bonding adhesives, mix chemicals, and perform soldering/de-soldering of circuit boards and harnesses.
  • Operate commercial and program-specific test equipment and hand tools.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and written procedures to diagnose and repair hardware.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, equivalent technical degree, or relevant military experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience reading engineering drawings and schematics.
  • 1-2 years of experience in electronic troubleshooting and fault isolation to the component level.
  • 1-2 years of experience with electro-optical sensor hardware and software.
  • 1-2 years of experience in commercial or military electronics maintenance, including hand tool usage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience operating, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating test equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with commercial test and measurement tools such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and soldering equipment.
