About this opportunity:
We're seeking a curious and motivated AI Agent Development Intern to join us in shaping how developers interact with complex systems. You'll work at the intersection of AI, developer tools, and signal systems, designing and testing intelligent agents that make telecom software development faster, smarter, and more intuitive.
What you will do:
- Building and refining AI agents that assist with telecom software development tasks.
- Automating developer workflows using context engineering and data-driven insights.
- Integrating and extending capabilities within VS Code and other modern IDEs.
- Collaborating on prototypes that combine compiler, debugger, and signal system understanding for enhanced developer productivity.
- Working alongside experienced engineers and researchers exploring the future of AI-assisted software development in telecom.
The skills you bring:
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2.7+ GPA on a 4.0 scale or equivalent.
- Be available to work 40 hours per week during the summer or Co-Op term.
- Proficient in Python, TypeScript, or C++.
- Familiarity with VS Code, AI agent frameworks, or LLM-based development tools.
- Interest in automating development workflows or context engineering.
- Strong analytical and debugging skills; ability to learn complex systems quickly.
- Knowledge of compilers, debuggers, or signal systems.
- Prior experience integrating AI tools or building developer extensions.
- Understanding of telecom software or distributed systems.
- A demonstrated curiosity about AI for developer productivity or intelligent IDEs.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects, especially in AI tooling or developer infrastructure, is highly valued.
