Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is seeking a Mobile and Desktop Support to provide Tier 1 (intermediate-level) maintenance and support for desktop and laptop computers. This role involves troubleshooting, hardware/software installation, configuration, and delivering exceptional customer service to end users.

Responsibilities:
* Unpack, configure, and deploy new hardware
* Provide end-user training on basic device and software functionality
* Document troubleshooting guides and installation procedures
* Relocate and set up desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals
* Research and develop alternative solutions for new technical issues
* Log all interactions and resolutions in the ticketing system
* Maintain technical proficiency through independent learning

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree in Computer Maintenance Technology, Help Desk Support, Network Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience in an IT technical environment
* Hands-on experience with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PCs and hardware
* Basic understanding of networking concepts and Windows Active Directory
* Familiarity with LCD projectors, monitors, printers, and plotters
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively with customers and support teams
* Flexibility to work rotating schedules and adapt to changing technologies
* Ability to distinguish colors for component identification

Preferred Qualifications:
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+)
* Experience supporting construction or maintenance environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
