Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a systems engineer supporting our government customer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for Managing and supporting applications that help maintain the health and safety of NOAA spacecraft. This includes applications hosted on RedHat Enterprise 8 systems, installing and configuring applications tailored to customer needs, managing system for routine monthly patching, and supporting future technical refreshes for system upgrades.

What you bring to the table:
- A Bachelor's degree in a related specialized area or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience with administration for Redhat Linux, Atlassian software, and system integration.
- Proficient in creating and briefing architecture solution designs.
- Proficient with implementing SSL/TLS certificates for applications.
- Proficient with administration managing and maintaining PostgreSQL database supporting various applications
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient communication skills (written and verbal).
- Desired Skills:
- Groovy & Python Scripting
- SQL Querying.
- Analyze System & Application Logs
- Apache Web Server
