CTG is seeking to fill a Project Manager III opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 6 months

Overview:

  • Manages high-priority projects affecting three or more business or functional areas, or complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Oversees all phases of the project lifecycle including planning, execution, and closure.

  • Ensures project goals are met on time, within scope, and within budget while aligning with organizational priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct high-impact projects across multiple businesses or functional areas, requiring substantial resources and integration.

  • Establish and maintain clarity around scope, objectives, roles, and responsibilities for project stakeholders and team members.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

  • Gather detailed project requirements using structured techniques such as planning sessions, focus groups, and brainstorming.

  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment through effective communication of project expectations and updates.

  • Monitor and control project work, ensuring changes to scope, schedule, or costs are appropriately managed and documented.

  • Track and report on project performance using appropriate tools; address variances through corrective actions.

  • Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure ongoing risk assessment.

  • Foster a high-performing team culture through mentorship, leadership, and motivation.

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure alignment with system scope and organizational objectives.

  • Comply with company risk management and regulatory standards, escalating issues as necessary.

  • Uphold internal control standards and support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Manages projects of significant complexity and visibility within the organization.

  • Responsible for cross-functional coordination and communication across three or more business areas.

  • Requires strategic thinking and operational execution.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical or professional direction and guidance to project team members.

  • May mentor or lead cross-functional teams but does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor s degree and a minimum of 4 years of proven project management experience,
    OR
    A combined minimum of 6 years higher education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years of project management experience (or 3 years if other qualifications are met).

  • Proficiency with personal computers and relevant software tools.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.

  • Experience managing both technical and non-technical projects.

  • Background in banking, finance, or enterprise-level environments.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
