Job Details

Primary Purpose:

The Data Analyst plays a key role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights to support business decisions across various banking functions. This role involves gathering, analyzing, and visualizing data to uncover trends, evaluate performance, and support strategic initiatives. The analyst must have a strong understanding of data management, business processes, and banking operations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze operational, financial, and customer data to support reporting, performance tracking, and strategic initiatives
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and insights to guide decision-making across departments
  • Collaborate with business units (e.g., lending, operations, risk, finance) to understand data needs and deliver solutions
  • Support data quality initiatives and ensure accuracy of information in reporting systems
  • Assist in automating repetitive reporting tasks and streamlining data workflows
  • Contribute to periodic reviews of business processes using data-driven insights
  • Support ad hoc data requests and analytics projects as assigned
  • Works cooperatively with others
  • Regular and reliable attendance

Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 1-3 years of experience in banking, finance, or a data-related role preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience working with databases and query tools (e.g., SQL, Access) a plus
  • Effective communication skills - able to explain data insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaborative and team-oriented approach to work
  • Experience with banking systems or core platforms preferred but not required
