Venturi, LLC A Chenega Company has a challenging career opportunity for a Hardware Engineer Senior who will join professionals operating, maintaining, and sustaining mission-critical systems to provide safe and effective launch, testing, and tracking of Department of Defense, civil, commercial, and international space lift vehicles. This Engineer will help support ballistic missile, guided weapon, and aeronautical tests and evaluations. This individual will support space situational awareness operations and experiments to defend the United States to ensure our nation's safety. Our employees serve on the forefront of global defense and space operations.
This position is located at Patrick Space Force Base, FL.
This position is eligible for a (hybrid) telecommuting schedule. Most tasks for this position must be performed on-site, but some may be performed remotely.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, modify, and implement new and/or existing capabilities for supporting hardware systems.
- Perform system modeling, simulation, and analysis to provide the most appropriate technical solution.
- Support testing to qualify hardware systems for Range operations.
- Plan, conduct, and assist in the execution of Engineering projects.
- Coordinate with technical support personnel for assigned projects.
- Analyze, develop, recommend, and implement approaches to meet work and project requirements.
- Evaluate component suppliers and vendor capabilities.
- Provide work guidance to less experienced personnel.
- Assist with problematic repairs of Line Replaceable Units (LRU's).
- Provide engineering assistance to restore operational systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical major in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math.
- 4+ years relevant engineering experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and M/Microsoft Office tool suite.
- Proficiency with digital interface design, including familiarization with interface modules, cable/wire types, and connector systems.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs.
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%).
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
- Proficient in technical writing for development of technical reports, white papers, and other technical support documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical issues verbally and through written media such as graphical slides and verbal presentations to contract management and customers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage competing demands, prioritize appropriately, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with and/or knowledge of Launch Test Range Weather Systems
- LPLWS, AMPS, DRWP, MIDDS, WWINDS, and ERDAS
- Essential knowledge of hardware systems integration and testing practices.
- Experience in configuring Ethernet switches and network protocols.
- Experience providing inputs to complex project proposals within defined time constraints involving multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficient in reading, understanding, creating, or modifying wire diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings using CAD or other drawing packages.
- Proficient in the use of specialized test equipment, including but not limited to VOMs, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
- Familiarity with computer systems, including single board (SBCs), servers, and workstations.
- Familiarity with the Linux and Windows Operating systems.
