The Impact you will have in this role:

Financial Risk & Governance's (FR&G) mission is to provide effective and efficient identification, measurement, monitoring and control of market and liquidity risks related to the clearing and settlement processes for DTCC, its members and the markets. In addition, FR&G provides critical governance and quality assurance capabilities for key risk functions that are designed to meet rigorous organizational and regulatory standards. FR&G collaborates closely with Quantitative Risk Management and the Counterparty Credit Risk teams to maintain an integrated and comprehensive approach to financial risk management at DTCC to support an effective second line of defense. FR&G's prime directive for DTCC's applicable clearing agencies consists of the following:
  • Maintain sufficient collateral to cover any losses associated with the liquidation of any defaulting member or family portfolio under extreme but plausible scenarios;
  • Ensure that sufficient liquidity resources are available so that each entity is able to settle all transactions as contracted in the event of a failure by the single largest member or family under extreme but plausible circumstances;
  • Exercise continuous improvement of policies, procedures and processes that support robust, ongoing member surveillance and effective but appropriate response to distress events; and
  • Maintain a deep and broad product knowledge and risk framework to effectively measure and manage market, liquidity, and credit risks.

The Data Integrity (DI) team works closely with all teams of FR&G and acts as the centralized data operations function to complete data management processes on behalf of FR&G, including data quality, data governance, and third-party data management.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • As a Data Integrity Senior Analyst, complete operational processes by following documented procedures, and identify process improvements.
  • Analyze data quality exceptions, perform root cause analysis, raise and resolve data quality issues, assist with complex data inquiries.
  • Develop strong knowledge of department controls to monitor and mitigate risks.
  • Analyze new data sources to define business requirements for new data quality controls, and participate in reviewing test results before production implementations.
  • Perform data analysis and threshold calibration as part of the annual review process.
  • Support regulatory examinations, internal audit reviews, and other internal control group assessments.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Strong business analysis and data analysis skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Experience writing and executing SQL queries
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Excel, and other applications
  • Maintain honest, positive, and constructive communication with all team members and colleagues
  • Demonstrate ownership mentality, curiosity to learn, openness to constructive feedback, and active engagement in projects
