Job Description
As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you'll be the direct leader of critical groups with significant responsibilities. These groups may sometimes be more heavily resourced with more senior staff or more staff in general or be responsible for more technically complex or strategically important parts of the architecture or product. You'll be instrumental in building relationships throughout the organization to ensure whole-company alignment and support for their goals, and vice-versa.

You'll be architecting and designing digital products using modern tools, technologies, frameworks, and systems, applying a systematic application of scientific and technological knowledge, methods, and experience to the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of software. You'll also own and manage running the application in production, and ultimately become accountable for the success of digital products through achieving KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Frequently advise others on complex engineering matters.

Build foundation to translate strategy into challenging and meaningful goals

Manage teams that are responsible for strategic and critical pieces of architecture or provide functions that are of key strategic value to the business.

Act as an authority in software best practices and be relied upon to propagate these in the broader organization, beyond their individual team.

Expert ability to view the organization as a whole.

Leverage and influence key stakeholders

Experience

10 or more years of experience (preferred)

Hands-on experience with Java Spring Boot

Knowledge on MCP and Agentic AI (preferred)

Expertise on XP, pairing and TDD practices

Experience working on internal developer tools (preferred)

Previous experience managing managers of engineering teams

Supervisory Responsibilities

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $141,800.00 - 219,200.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
