Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior NOC/Network Engineer to join our team in Sarasota, Florida. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity and optimal performance. Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including hardware and software, to support organizational goals.

Troubleshoot complex network issues to ensure reliability and optimal performance.

Develop and execute plans for upgrading network systems and integrating new technologies.

Handle network add/move/change activities such as cable installations, port activations, and equipment setups.

Guide entry-level team members and provide training on emerging networking technologies.

Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including IP databases, diagrams, and configuration backups.

Implement security measures to safeguard network systems and data.

Evaluate project requirements and provide cost estimates for network solutions.

Recommend vendor products, services, and innovative network solutions to management.

Administer and maintain technologies such as routers, switches, VPNs, and wireless networks within established guidelines.

Requirements

Proficiency in Cisco technologies, including routers and switches.
Strong understanding of WAN (Wide Area Network) and LAN switching.
Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and maintenance.
Familiarity with Cisco VPN configurations and management.
Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly preferred.
Ability to mentor team members and provide technical training.
Experience in documenting network configurations and maintaining system diagrams.
Solid analytical skills to evaluate and recommend technology solutions.
