Senior Systems Engineer

This is a permanent full time salaried role! Must be worked on site a few days per week in Manchester, CT-other 2 days can be remote. This is NOT a Consulting role.

CCNP Security certification OR CCIE IS REQUIRED for this role.

*Need someone very strong in security with experience in Palo Alto Firewalls AND Networking fundamentals in routing and switching are also very important*

Required Qualifications
CCNP Security certification OR CCIE
Bachelors degree or equivalent in an engineering or computer science field preferred
5+ years of relevant Network Engineering experience supporting enterprise environments

Required Skills and Responsibilities
Understanding of zero trust architecture and defense-in-depth principles.
Expertise with Network Access Control

Expertise with Firewalls: Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto Networks
Expertise with Network Segmentation: SUCH AS: Cisco SD-Access, Cisco Secure Workload (Tetration)
Strong Authentication and MFA (Duo, Ping, Microsoft PKI, SAML/SSO).
Strong Software-defined network technologies (SD-WAN or Silver Peak or similar)
Ability to create clear documentation: High/low-level designs, BoMs, operational handover
Subject matter expertise across Layer 3 routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and IP multicast
Provide level 3 escalation support to NOC via on-call rotation
Experience with ANY network management tools such as Solarwinds, Netbrain, Nagios, etc
