Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP BW/HANA Developer to join our team and contribute to the migration and enhancement of our Analytical BW (ABW) to Operational BW (OBW) functionalities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SAP BW/HANA, ABAP, and BEX reporting, with a strong background in financial processes (AP, Fixed Assets, GL). This role involves building data models, reports, and documentation while collaborating in an Agile (SAFe/Kanban) environment.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, develop, and optimize SAP BW/HANA calculation views, AMDPs (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and data models from scratch.



  • Extract and transform data from ECC (SAP ERP) to build BW data models and reports.



  • Develop and maintain BEX queries and Web-based reporting solutions.



  • Support EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) integrations, including Excel-based reporting.



  • Participate in the ABW2OBR (Analytical to Operational BW) migration project, documenting current processes, analyzing code, and translating requirements into Jira tickets.



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rationalize financial processes (AP, GL, Fixed Assets) and ensure data accuracy.



  • Work closely with test teams to validate developments and ensure quality deliverables.



  • Follow Agile (SAFe) methodologies in an 18-month project using Kanban.




Required Skills & Experience:



  • 6+ years of hands-on SAP BW/HANA development experience.



  • 2+ full lifecycle SAP BW implementations (from design to go-live).



  • Strong expertise in:



  • SAP HANA calculation views, AMDPs, and ABAP coding.



  • BEX reporting (Query Designer, Web Application Designer).



  • EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) and Excel integration.



  • ECC data extraction (FI/CO modules AP, GL, Fixed Assets).



  • Experience with Agile/SAFe methodologies and Jira documentation.



  • Ability to analyze complex legacy code, document processes, and propose improvements.



  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with business stakeholders and technical teams.




Nice to Have:



  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) or SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics.



  • Experience with SAP Datasphere or BW/4HANA.



  • Understanding of financial consolidation and ledger reporting.
