RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's notable Automobile and Clean Energy Client is looking for a Construction Mechanical Project Manager to join their Austin TX team.
What to Expect:
You will be responsible for delivering projects by working cross-functionally with various internal and external stakeholders, supporting end users, collaborating with construction engineering, while ensuring your projects are ahead of schedule and under budget.
What You'll Do:
* Mechanical focus for Dry & Wet Mechanical, Process Piping, HVAC, and all major pieces of equipment
* Understand basic Mechanical Principals for managing Industrial and Commercial Projects
* Create a roadmap for project success, understanding all the components of your projects and finding ways to meet project deliverables
* Responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering construction and supporting activities, including planning, procurement, construction
* Overall responsibility for project execution, ensuring that the project is delivered within contract requirements and company standards of quality and safety
* Award contracts
* Write scopes of work and RFIs
* Deliver projects ahead of schedule, enabling your teams and counterparts to solve problems and prioritize execution by company needs
* Manage budgets and schedules, manage performance, report progress, and initiate action to assure project objectives and schedules are met and work is performed within budget
* Use efficient and aesthetic communication methods to escalate roadblocks or communicate successes as necessary
* Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project's goals
* Provide the best product for your respective project's customers or end users, keeping projects moving forward and addressing concerns as they arise
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of experience with Mechanical Scopes
* Strong organizational skills
* Strong ability to multitask
* Computer savvy
* Experience; Ability to understand, report, and award
* Experience with typical construction documents - AIA is the industry norm, pay applications, etc.
* Texas Code, contracts, read drawings, mechanical principals
* Wants to see experience with awarding scopes
* Ability to participate in BIM coordination and read 3D models
* OSHA 30
* Mechanically focused - better if they have Mechanical Engineering degree or Construction Management who prefer to be more mechanical focused
* Software: Bluebeam, Excel, MS Office; Don't use procure
* Really need someone with heavy mechanical; Knows all mechanical - Wet, Dry, Process Piping, HVAC, etc.
* Dry mechanical and refractory duct work is big plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
