Job Details

Job Title: FHIR healthcare
Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months
Client: Infosys/ Caresource

& USC

For Technical Consultant:

  • Design, develop, and implement FHIR-based solutions using InterSystems IRIS for Health.
  • Create and manage FHIR resources and endpoints, ensuring compliance with HL7 and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Develop and configure APIs, data mappings, and transformation logic.
  • Integrate external healthcare systems and applications via HL7, FHIR, and other data standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical, technical, and business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to FHIR interfaces and IRIS platform performance.
  • Document technical design, architecture, and integration flows.

For Business Analyst:

  • Analyze and document business and technical requirements related to FHIR implementation.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define interoperability use cases and map them to FHIR resources.
  • Translate clinical and business workflows into structured data models aligned with FHIR standards.
  • Develop test cases and validate FHIR resource implementations against client expectations.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Participate in vendor and client discussions to ensure clarity in scope, use cases, and implementation goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with FHIR implementations.
  • Experience working with InterSystems IRIS for Health or InterSystems HealthShare.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 FHIR standards, resource modeling, and healthcare data exchange.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and data transformation tools.
  • Solid understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare IT ecosystems.
  • Experience with HL7v2, CDA, and other legacy standards is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • For technical roles: Proficiency in scripting or development (ObjectScript, JavaScript, or similar).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in HL7 FHIR or InterSystems technologies.
  • Experience in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech) or Health Information Exchanges (HIEs).
  • Prior involvement in healthcare interoperability projects (e.g., TEFCA, USCDI, or SMART on FHIR).
