Job Summary:

We are seeking a forward-thinking SQL Developer with experience in the insurance domain and familiarity with emerging technologies for our end-client in Jacksonville, FL for onsite role. This role involves designing and optimizing SQL-based solutions to support analytics, reporting, and operational efficiency across insurance functions such as underwriting, claims, and policy management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for insurance data analysis.
  • Design and maintain scalable data models and ETL pipelines using SQL Server, SSIS, and cloud-native tools.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and actuaries to support predictive analytics and risk modeling.
  • Build dashboards and reports using Power BI and integrate with insurance CRM systems.
  • Ensure data quality, compliance, and security across insurance datasets.
  • Automate insurance workflows and support real-time data processing for policy and claims systems.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of SQL development experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Strong command of T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server performance tuning.
  • Experience with cloud-based SQL platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
  • Familiarity with insurance data structures (e.g., policy, claims, billing, fraud detection).
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and custom visuals.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), and database security.
  • Ability to work with AI-driven insurance platforms and integrate SQL with machine learning models.
  • Experience using SLMs for insurance-specific analytics and automation.
  • Using SQL for risk assessment, fraud detection, and claims forecasting.
  • Skills in streaming data and real-time policy management using SQL.
  • Building scalable insurance solutions on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Handling large datasets efficiently with advanced indexing, partitioning, and caching.
  • Connecting SQL databases with platforms like Salesforce or Guidewire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Certification in SQL for Insurance or Data Science (e.g., Certified SQL Pro for Insurance).
  • Experience with Python or R for data automation and statistical modeling.
  • Agile/Scrum experience in cross-functional insurance teams.
