Job Title: Workday Data Conversion Consultant
Location: remote

Job Summary:
The Workday Data Conversion Consultant is responsible for managing and executing all data migration activities during Workday implementation projects.
This role involves extracting, transforming, and loading data from legacy systems into Workday while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
The consultant collaborates with business, functional, and technical teams to deliver seamless data conversions aligned with client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute end-to-end data conversion activities for Workday implementations (HCM, Finance, Payroll, or other modules).
Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and map legacy data to Workday data models.
Develop data extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) scripts using Workday-delivered tools such as EIBs, Workday Studio, and Cloud Connect.
Support the development and execution of data validation and reconciliation processes to ensure data accuracy.
Perform data cleansing and quality assurance to meet Workday s data standards and client-specific business rules.
Participate in multiple mock conversions and assist with cutover planning and execution.
Collaborate with integration and reporting teams to align data conversion efforts with downstream processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in collaboration with functional and technical teams.
Provide guidance on best practices for Workday data migration and conversion strategies.
Maintain documentation for data mapping, conversion logic, and reconciliation reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
3 8 years of experience in data conversion or migration, preferably in Workday implementations.
Hands-on experience with Workday EIB, Workday Studio, or Cloud Connect for data conversion.
Strong understanding of Workday data model and business processes across modules (HCM, Finance, Payroll, etc.).
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, XML, XSLT, and data transformation tools.
Experience with data cleansing, mapping, and validation techniques.
Familiarity with integration frameworks, APIs, and Workday web services.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple conversion cycles under tight timelines.
