Overview:

We are seeking a proficient and visionary Data Solution Architect to lead our organization's data strategy and architecture. This role is crucial in navigating the complexities arising from our growth through acquisitions, with the goal of efficiently collecting transactional data for senior management insights. The Data Solution Architect will strategize and implement data collection methodologies, design data architectures, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a robust and scalable data ecosystem that aligns with long-term reporting objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals, emphasizing transactional data collection for critical metrics like # of packages sent, Cost of Goods, and Postage Volume by Customer by location.
• Design and implement scalable and efficient data architectures that accommodate the collection, storage, and processing of disparate transactional data from various platforms.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and priorities, ensuring that the data architecture aligns with business objectives and meets the needs of senior management.
• Strategize data integration plans to aggregate and harmonize transactional data from diverse systems. Lead data migration efforts to streamline data into a centralized repository.
• Leverage Microsoft technologies (SQL Server, Power BI) and other tools such as AWS and Workato to architect and implement data solutions efficiently and effectively.
• Define and enforce data quality standards and governance policies to ensure data consistency, accuracy, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
• Drive the establishment of a comprehensive data ecosystem, including data marts and data lakes, to facilitate seamless data storage, retrieval, and analysis for reporting purposes.
• Plan and implement a reporting architecture that utilizes Power BI as the presentation layer, delivering meaningful insights to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data solutions, preferably in a multi-platform and multi-system environment resulting from acquisitions.
• Expertise in Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, and related data tools.
• Proficiency in utilizing cloud platforms like AWS for data architecture and integration.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and varying data sources.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
