Job Title: Sales Manager / Business Development Manager Public Sector

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager / Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth and expand our footprint within the public sector, including federal, state, and local government clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identifying, qualifying, and winning government contracts across IT services, digital transformation, staffing, or managed services verticals.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic plans to grow business in the public sector.
Identify and pursue RFPs, RFIs, and contracting opportunities through government procurement portals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with procurement officers, decision-makers, and partners.
Collaborate with internal teams for solution development, proposal writing, and contract negotiation.
Maintain and expand a pipeline of qualified public sector opportunities.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and agency meetings.
Qualifications:
5+ years of sales or BDM experience, preferably in IT services or consulting.
Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes (e.g., TDDC, CMAS, GSA, NASPO, state portals).
Demonstrated success in securing contracts with federal/state/local government agencies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
Existing relationships within public sector agencies is a strong plus.
Nice to Have:
Knowledge of GovWin, SAM.gov, BidSync, or similar platforms.
Prior experience selling to agencies like DHCS, DMV, EDD, HHS, DOT, DOL, or Education departments.
