Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Quality Engineer with strong technical leadership abilities and hands-on automation expertise. The ideal candidate will have experience in test architecture, distributed systems testing, and working with POS systems or hardware integrations.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years in Quality Engineering or Software Engineering.
- 2+ years in a senior or technical lead role.
- Strong experience in mocked environments, service virtualization, or stubbing strategies for distributed systems.
- Hands-on CI/CD experience (preferably GitHub Actions) deploying containerized applications.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python, etc.
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Karate, Cypress, BDD tools, or other API-focused frameworks.
- Understanding of performance testing concepts and tooling.
- Ability to work effectively in high-change, ambiguous environments with fast decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with retail or POS systems, especially at the software integration layer.
- Experience building custom test harnesses or testing frameworks.
- Experience influencing teams transitioning from hardware-dependent testing to modern CI-driven workflows.
