Lockheed Martin is looking for a hardworking Systems Engineer for Flight Test; in this role you will be part of a multi-disciplined systems Engineering team and will be supporting development, planning, and coordinating flight tests for a strategic missile system.
As a Systems Engineer for Flight Test, you will:
Plan and execute specific component and subsystem verification procedures
Assist in reviewing and evaluating test data and telemetry, ensuring generated data accurately verifies functionality and performance
Collaborate with external teams to solve issues
Support test procedure closure activities in Automation Framework; support anomaly closure activities
Support Systems Engineering and Certified Principle Engineers (CPEs) in the verification of test requirements
Have excellent organization and troubleshooting skills and be highly proficient in understanding hardware/software design, requirements generation, product development, test execution, and verification activities
Be willing to work some overtime and support off-shifts and/or weekends in a 24/7 operations environment
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
- Working knowledge of Systems Engineering processes
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance or above
- Ability to support occasional travel and off-shifts (<25%) related to system test events
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
Desired skills
Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, anomaly resolution, and missile hardware integration
Strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic team environment with aggressive program schedules
Experience in a test and requirements verification environment
Demonstrated behaviors of a systems problem solver; selects and applies appropriate systems thinking skills to solve very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
Master's Degree in Systems Engineering, INCOSE Certification, or relevant Graduate Certificate

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
