Position: SAP BW HANA Consultant

Location: Baltimore, MD

Duration: Long term

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced SAP BW/HANA Consultant to design, develop, and optimize SAP Business Warehouse solutions on the HANA platform. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP BW/4HANA architecture, data modeling, and real-time analytics. This role is critical in enabling high-performance reporting and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP BW and SAP HANA development
  • Strong experience with SAP BW SAP S/4HANA and native SAP HANA modeling (Calculation Views, CDS Views)
  • Proficiency in BEx tools, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and Analysis for Office
  • Experience with data extraction from SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and external systems
  • Knowledge of ABAP for enhancements and debugging
  • SAP certification in BW/4HANA or SAP HANA preferred
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Key Technical Skills

  • SAP BW/4HANA architecture and modeling
  • Native SAP HANA development (SQLScript, Calculation Views)
  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), BEx, and Analysis for Office
  • ABAP for BW enhancements and debugging
  • Performance tuning and data governance
  • Agile project delivery and stakeholder collaboration
  • Expertise in LSA++ data models, Composite Providers, Advanced DSOs, and Open ODS Views
  • Strong command of ETL processes, including data extraction from SAP and non-SAP sources using SLT, BODS, SDI, and SDA
  • SAP BusinessObjects, Web Intelligence, Lumira, and interactive dashboard design
  • Experience with SAP HANA Live models, SQL Script, and Stored Procedures
  • Familiarity with SAP HANA security, authorization concepts, and dynamic authorizations
  • Compliance with public sector standards
