Firmware Test Engineer
Austin, TX (Hybrid - 3x Onsite Per Week)

Role Overview:
Join our firmware QA team to develop and validate system firmware for Server Class EPYC CPUs and Instinct GPUs.
Collaborate with firmware architects and domain validation teams to define test strategies, create automated test cases, and ensure high-quality firmware delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with architects and validation engineers to understand firmware features.
Define and implement end-to-end platform test flows.
Develop automated regression test cases and procedures.
Execute tests, debug issues, and collaborate on defect resolution.
Contribute to test strategy, coverage, and infrastructure enhancements.
Focus:
80% test content creation, 20% test execution.
Must-Have Skills:
Firmware & platform test development and validation
System BIOS / UEFI boot process knowledge
Python scripting for test automation
Preferred Experience:
6+ years in firmware/software development or validation
Pre/post-silicon test environments, SoC/System-level debugging
Embedded firmware experience
Programming in C/C++ and scripting (Python, Perl, etc.)
Familiarity with BIOS concepts, RAS features, memory, power, security, virtualization, high-speed I/O, and sideband protocols
