  • Preference to domain expertise in energy & utility data scenarios such as grid analytics, energy trading, smart meter integration, SCADA/IoT data ingestion, and compliance reporting.

Solution Design:

  • Define and document scalable architectures for enterprise data warehouses, data lakes, real-time streaming solutions, and analytics platforms.
  • Work closely with delivery and product teams to scope implementation plans, estimates, and timelines.
  • Design custom solutions aligned with energy sector KPIs such as load forecasting, asset performance, and carbon footprint optimization. Customer Engagement & Relationship Building
  • Act as the technical liaison during customer discussions, ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical objections with precision and clarity.
  • Foster long-term relationships with strategic clients by providing thought leadership and ongoing advisory.
  • Leverage understanding of utility procurement processes and regulatory-driven IT initiatives.
  • Existing network of contacts within enterprise IT organizations, particularly in the Energy & Utilities sector (e.g., CIOs, Heads of Data/IT, Innovation Officers, or Procurement Leads).
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage professional relationships to accelerate sales cycles and open new business opportunities
  • Ability to map existing relationships into pipeline-building strategy within the first 90 days.
  • Proven track record of converting personal industry relationships into tangible business results.

Market & Product Expertise:

  • Stay updated on market trends in data engineering, big data, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), and analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI, Databricks, etc.).
  • Provide competitive insights to the sales and marketing teams to shape positioning and messaging strategies.
  • Understand emerging trends in energy such as decarbonization, DERs (Distributed Energy Resources), and digital grid transformation.
