Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $135,000.00 - $168,900.00 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).

Responsibilities
- Design architecture and develop embedded software for ECU simulation.
- Design and develop test frameworks and systems that can be automated and scaled for usage in rapid engineering development and manufacturing environments. Develop multi-tiered test suites that ensure the detection of regression.
- Collaborate with Firmware and Test Engineers to implement Embedded solution simulations and testing gaps.
- Come together with your peers to share ideas, ask why with an open and curious mind, and learn from each other's diverse perspectives to deliver great work as a team.
- Shape the future of our automated testing and release strategies.
- Partner with product management and engineering peers to design end-to-end user journeys that are verifiable through automated testing.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years developing software for embedded products.
- 5+ years of experience with Python scripting, including testing frameworks such as pytest.
- Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
- Experience with gitlabci or equivalent Continuous Integration systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Networks experience such as CAN or Ethernet.
- Experience with RTOS.
- Experience with GNU/Linux OS and shell scripting.
- Experience with Bazel or equivalent build system tools.
- Awareness of Functional Safety standards such as ISO 26262 or equivalent and how they influence software design choices.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostic protocols such as UDS and familiarity with serialization formats like protobuf.
- Communication protocols such as SPI, UART, and I2C.
