Senior IT Project Manager w/Networking & Infrastructure

Our Dallas based client is seeking an experienced proactive, results-driven Senior IT Project Manager (Sr. IT PM) to play a pivotal role in managing technical installation projects. Specifically, by leading projects to enhance our existing IT infrastructure and the IT portion of new business acquisitions. This role requires a blend of project management skills, technical acumen, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

This is an exciting opportunity to help enhance our client's IT infrastructure. The Sr. IT PM will plan implementation, upgrades, and major changes across network, cloud, and hosted systems-aligning acquired properties to company standards. Responsibilities include project planning, vendor coordination, capital spend management, and contract negotiation to ensure successful execution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of IT networking, camera, VOIP, low voltage installation, and POS systems, technologies, and processes.
    • Work closely with technical teams to ensure the effective implementation of IT solutions.
  • Project Management:
    • Lead the effort between IT and stakeholders to define technical requirements, budgets, and implementation plan for new network, camera, and phone systems for newly acquired properties and current property infrastructure enhancements.
    • Develop project plans, outlining tasks, budget, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Facilitate and coordinate communication between the infrastructure team and the vendor, Construction, and Redevelopment teams on various projects.
    • Monitor project progress, track milestones & budget, and manage changes to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Keep stakeholders informed of project progress by providing regular timely updates.
    • Partner with Operations and IT Sr. Director to develop annual IT infrastructure capital plan.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Manage vendors based on project requirements and SOW developed by the infrastructure team. Work with vendors to finalize Statement of Work, develop timelines, and track deliverables to completion.
    • Monitor remote 3rd party vendor performance, ensuring adherence to contracts, budget, and service level agreements.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage and forecast project budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
    • Create Purchase Orders and review/approve vendor invoices.
    • Ensure project resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment are onsite for timely delivery.
    • Manage the capitalization process, requesting codes, managing and tracking the budget, and placing assets into service.
  • Risk Management:
    • Proactively identify risks and issues; work with IT and Business to develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
    • Contribute to the development and enhancement of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
  • Scrum Master certification required.
  • 5+ years of proven experience as an IT project manager, leading and delivering complex IT projects, specifically in location/site-based acquisitions and technical installations including managing acquisitions of new locations.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., Monday.com (strongly preferred), Microsoft Project).
  • Strong computer/systems background with working knowledge of standard IT ecosystem technologies (Hardware & Software).
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating regional low voltage, fiber, and physical infrastructure vendors to install cabling, network components, poles, satellite dishes, and other infrastructure components.
  • Experience in both operational expense (OpEx) and capital expense (CapEx) budget management and resource allocation in IT projects.
  • Experience in marina management or hospitality industries a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously and successfully deliver them on time and within budget.
  • Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Team player who can succeed through collaboration and working with other internal and external organizations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure and deal with ambiguity.
  • Comfortable presenting to both business and technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

OTHER
  • This is a hybrid position, with minimum 3-4 days a week at the home office (Dallas).
  • Must be able to travel on occasion within the US (all travel expenses will be covered within company guidelines).
