Job Details

Title: OSP Engineer/Designer

Location: New Hampshire - Onsite

This role focuses on Outside Plant (OSP) Engineering, specifically for fiber network design, including FTTP (Fiber to the Premises), HiCap circuits, BAU (Business-As-Usual) work, and pole fielding activities in New Hampshire.

What the Candidate Will Do

  • Design OSP telecom networks including aerial, underground, and buried fiber routes.

  • Work on FTTP, 5G, HiCap, BAU and other telecom engineering projects.

  • Perform field surveys to verify conditions, capture measurements, inspect poles, assess feasibility, and validate designs.

  • Create fiber work orders, route plans, cable sizing, construction notes, and permitting documentation.

  • Use tools like AutoCAD, MS Office, and OSP planning tools (NetCracker, FiberBase, GIS platforms).

  • collaborate with customers, internal stakeholders, and construction teams.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while working independently.

  • Provide daily progress updates and communicate clearly across teams.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of OSP fiber and copper design (aerial, UG, buried, manholes, conduit).

  • Experience working on BAU, FTTP, and HiCap OSP projects.

  • Understanding of F1/F2 fiber distribution networks.

  • Field experience in pole loading, field collection, and mapping.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and OSP design tools.

  • Great communication, analytical ability, and independent work ethic.
