As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions that support our organization's data needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business applications and reporting needs.
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and indexes to efficiently store and retrieve data.
  • Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to understand application requirements and translate them into database solutions.
  • Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
  • Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing strategies, and database configurations.
  • Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, and data flow diagrams.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience working as a SQL Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design concepts.
  • Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Knowledge of database performance tuning techniques and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Certification in database administration or related field.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
