As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining database solutions that support our organization's data needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, optimize database performance, and ensure data integrity and security.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support business applications and reporting needs.
- Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, and indexes to efficiently store and retrieve data.
- Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to understand application requirements and translate them into database solutions.
- Perform data analysis and profiling to identify data quality issues and recommend solutions.
- Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexing strategies, and database configurations.
- Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain documentation, including data dictionaries, technical specifications, and data flow diagrams.
- Provide support and troubleshooting assistance for database-related issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience working as a SQL Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database design concepts.
- Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Knowledge of database performance tuning techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with data modeling tools and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Certification in database administration or related field.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
