Job Details

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Senior Manager Applications & Development Operations to lead strategic software and systems initiatives, driving innovation, efficiency, and technical excellence. In this highly visible role, you will partner with business and technical teams to design and oversee complex projects from migrating legacy systems to the cloud, to building reusable API libraries, integrating AI tools, and shaping new application architectures. You will serve as the primary point of contact for development operations, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.


  • Location: Onsite 5 days/week in Monrovia, CA (will also consider Boston, MA)
  • Compensation: This job is expected to pay a base salary of about $160-180k annually

What You ll Do:


  • Lead projects and programs spanning cloud migrations, AI integration, and custom application architecture design.
  • Partner with product managers to make informed buy/build decisions and ensure solutions align with business needs.
  • Oversee vendor relationships for software development, establishing SLAs, quality standards, and performance expectations.
  • Create and maintain architectural diagrams, development patterns, and standards to guide system design and operations.
  • Champion DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement in development methodologies.

What Gets You the Job:


  • Deep understanding of SDLC, software architecture, and development operations.
  • Proven track record managing vendors and overseeing enterprise-level software development projects.
  • Experience with .NET environments, Azure, and modern front-end frameworks such as React; familiarity with Java is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes, microservices, API design, and database systems (Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills to work effectively across product, infrastructure, and security teams.
