Location: NJ-Summit, Hybrid 1-2 days onsite
Overview: Every Turnberry consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the solution integrator to guide and support the implementation of SAP MDG in an on-prem instance, preparing for the Cloud Edition
Assess and understand the current MDG configuration and data models already established
Identify gaps, limitations, and improvement opportunities within the existing setup
Lead efforts to stabilize and optimize the implemented MDG processes
Ensure data governance workflows are functioning as intended and align with business requirements
Provide hands-on troubleshooting and resolution of issues related to master data objects (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material, Finance)
Prepare the MDG environment for upcoming planned releases and enhancements
Document current state, known limitations, and readiness plans for future rollouts
Advise on best practices for release management and change control in a cloud environment
Work closely with business users, data stewards, and IT teams to ensure alignment and adoption
Ensure master data processes comply with internal governance policies and external regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
1+ years of proven experience as an SAP MDG Consultant, with recent hands-on work in the SAP MDG Cloud Ready Cloud Edition version
Strong understanding of master data domains and governance frameworks
Experience working with solution integrators in complex enterprise environments
Ability to work within constraints and creatively solve problems with limited resources
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and integration points with MDG is a plus
Understanding of future SAP MDG roadmap and cloud release cycles
The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $155,000 or the hourly equivalent.
