Job Details

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with PNC VRM team and work with them to remediate server / third party/ software VUF
  • Work with internal CLP developers to make sure server patches and related software upgrade happens on time
  • provide weekly status reports on VUF remediation/ certificate remediation and patching work

Must Have Technical Skills:

  • Operating System Proficiency: Deep understanding of server operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, various Linux distributions) including their architecture, file systems, and command-line interfaces. Windows Server:
  • Managing user accounts, group policies, and Active Directory
  • Familiarity with server roles and features
  • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) for patch management Linux Server:
  • Command-line interface (CLI) proficiency, including commands like ls, cp, mv, rm, mkdir, rmdir
  • Understanding file systems, package managers (e.g., apt, yum), and services
  • User and group account management.
  • Vulnerability Assessment & Patch Management: Expertise in using vulnerability assessment tools like Nessus, QualysGuard, and OpenVAS to identify and analyze security weaknesses. Knowledge of patch management best practices and tools (e.g., WSUS, SCCM, JetPatch) to efficiently apply security updates and remediate vulnerabilities. Hands on with firewall configuration, encryption, regular patching and updates, user access control, antiviranti-malware
  • Scripting & Automation: Strong scripting skills using languages like Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Ruby to automate repetitive tasks, such as patch deployment, system backups, and log analysis.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Solid grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSL, VPN, F5), firewall configurations, and network security concepts to identify and address network-related vulnerabilities.

Configuration Management:

  • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef) to ensure consistent server configurations, enforce security policies, and manage patch deployment across large server environments.
  • Experience with monitoring tool like Dynatrace , Grafana for tracking server performance (CPU, memory, disk usage, network traffic).
  • Perform log analysis with tools like Kibana / logscale /Humio / Log4j
  • Security Frameworks & Standards: Familiarity with common security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, HIPAA) to ensure server maintenance practices align with industry regulations and best practices.
