Duties include:
- Provide advanced operational and project support for critical enterprise applications.
- Support operational efficiency through continuous process improvements, eliminate toils, expand automation, process redesign and documentation.
- Maintain system resiliency and reliability by building highly observable systems, enhancing infrastructure, app monitoring, and alerts to meet Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvements and modernization at all stack levels.
- Streamline development processes by using code versioning tool and performing code review.
- Apply infrastructure-as-code methodologies across configuration and infrastructure using combination of scripting languages and other automation toolkits.
- Create internal and external facing standard operating procedures.
- Serve in advisory and consultative capacity for customers regarding critical infrastructure technologies and platforms.
- Support app change process and maximize efficiency of change management tools and process.
- Collaborate with business customers to implement batch scheduling and file transfer change requests.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science or closely related IT field plus 2 years' demonstrated proficiency in application administration, or, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or closely related IT field plus 4 years' demonstrated proficiency in application administration.
Experience must include proficiency in:
- Linux and Windows server administration, upgrades, patching, and monitoring.
- The technology stack including Linux, Window servers, Oracle, mySQL, MariaDB, networking, firewalls, load balancing, Bash, Korn, Python, Java, JavaScript, and DevOps tools.
- Code and configuration management tools using Github and Ansible.
- Application administration of Autosys workload automation, Axway secure file transfer system, and VPSX print output management tools.
- Project management with cross-team collaboration.
May permit telecommuting.
