As part of the Camera Silicon Architecture team, you'll help design innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You'll collaborate with teams across Apple to explore, define and drive the development of next-generation camera silicon chipset architectures. The Camera Silicon Architecture team develops innovative silicon solutions and technologies for Apple's products, including the iPhone, iPad, MacBooks, Vision Pro and more. The key goal of the team is to continue to push the envelope of performance and capabilities of the world's most popular cameras. New challenges arise every day that require the sharp problem-solving skills of versatile and thoughtful individuals. The team features a collaborative and hands-on environment that fosters engineering excellence, creativity, and innovation.
Description As a Camera Electronics Security Engineer, you will be responsible for camera sensor security architecture, design, validation and integration. Additional responsibilities include the following: Work with cross-functional teams and vendor to develop a threat model in order to define HW/SW counter measures as requirements and get the requirements signed off and to design as per requirement and ensure compliance at different stages of product development including reviewing the security FW code. Develop tools to validate security use cases in the silicon or FPGA prototype and support integration of these security enabled cameras in security enabled devices. Work with red teams to drive final security assessment report to completion. Modeling camera subsystem behavior from security perspective for deeper understanding and cross-functional alignment.

The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in Electrical and/or Computer or equivalent
- Knowledge in HW Security or Security Engineering
- Experience in digital, analog, or mixed signal design with cryptographic support
Preferred Qualifications
- MS or PhD degree
- 3+ years of experience in EE system design, especially camera sensor design
- Experience in threat modeling and developing HW/SW countermeasures to mitigate malicious attacks
- Experience in attack simulation or physical attack such as laser fault injection, electro-magnetic fault injection etc
- Experience in negotiating trade-offs with cross functional teams and/or vendor
- Proficiency with system/subsystem modeling using Python/SysML/Matlab/System C/C++
- Familiarity in HW engineering project management and/or vendor management
- Experience with design verification or validation
