Job Details

Title: Sales and Use Tax Manager

Location: Midwestern United States (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation:
Pay Range: $105000K-$150000K:

Description:
* Minimum of ten years' experience in sales and use tax.
* Strong multi-state taxation experience, especially in construction taxability.
* Team management experience is required.
* Experience with tax calculation software.
* International taxation experience is a plus.
* Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis in spreadsheets.
* Effective communication skills for interacting with various business leaders.

Key Responsibilities:
* Coach and mentor a team of tax accountants.
* Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns.
* Respond to escalated tax inquiries and correspondence.
* Maintain and communicate updates on sales tax laws and regulations.
* Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance.
* Manage state and local jurisdictional tax audits.
* Provide tax advice for mergers and acquisitions.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting.
* Minimum ten years' experience in sales and use tax.
* Strong experience in multi-state taxation, particularly in construction taxability.
* Proficient in spreadsheet software for data analysis.
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
