We have a direct-hire position for a Field Service Technician with one of our clients in Charlotte, NC. No third party candidates considered for this position.

We are a internet service provider mainly for multi-family housing, think high rises and apartment complexes. We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a past working for a cable/satellite installer, low voltage tech or IT installer. You'll be responsible for providing on-site technical support, troubleshooting hardware and network problems.

  • Install and basic troubleshooting network switches and wireless APs
  • Install and maintain battery backup systems/UPSs
  • Work with end users to help them connect a wide range of customer devices to the network
  • Work with network engineers remotely to troubleshoot more complex problems.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Low Voltage Experience
  • Running/Terminating Cat 5/6 and RG coax
  • Basic network experience
  • Structured cabling experience is a plus
  • Work unsupervised
  • Be comfortable working from a 6-9 ft ladder
  • Valid driver's license
  • Working and troubleshooting fiber is a plus.
