Job Details
We are seeking a skilled LIMS Application Developer to assist our IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with LabVantage and will be responsible for the design, development, configuration, and day-to-day support of our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
This role will focus on automating workflows and enhancing system functionality to support the biotech value chain, specifically in research and development (R&D), process development, and analytical development, while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and configure LabVantage LIMS to meet the needs of the organization.
- Provide day-to-day support for LIMS users, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal system performance.
- Automate historical and functional test scripts for core LabVantage products.
- Optimize and configure LabVantage systems to enhance laboratory workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement automation solutions to streamline laboratory workflows and improve efficiency.
- Maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and user guides.
- Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and industry standards throughout the LIMS lifecycle.
- Participate in system upgrades, testing, and validation activities to ensure system integrity and performance.
- Provide training and support to end-users on LIMS functionalities and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a LIMS Application Developer, with a strong focus on LabVantage.
- Solid understanding of the biotech value chain, particularly in R&D, process development, and analytical development.
- Expert skills in working with ELN, LES, Stability Studies, Sample Management, Lab Consumables, Biobanking, Label printing, Analytical testing workflows.
- Experience with automation tools and techniques to enhance laboratory processes.
- Knowledge of GMP regulations and compliance requirements in a laboratory setting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with programming languages and scripting (e.g., SQL, Python, Java) is a plus.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of other LIMS platforms and laboratory automation systems (e.g. Benchling).
