Job Description:

Java Tech Lead / Architect - Cloud-Native Applications

We are seeking a Java Tech Lead with strong architecture experience to help design and lead enterprise-scale, cloud-native applications. This role is ideal for someone who has led development teams and contributed to architectural decisions, and is ready to take on broader architectural responsibilities. Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar platforms is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical design and development of scalable Java/JEE enterprise applications.
  • Contribute to and help define architecture strategy for cloud-native solutions.
  • Guide development teams on best practices across the SDLC.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into robust solutions.
  • Build and maintain microservices using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and messaging.
  • Provide technical leadership for front-end development using Angular.
  • Support integration with OCI services (IAM, storage, compute, networking).
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation and diagrams.
  • Ensure security, performance, and compliance of applications.
  • Mentor developers and promote DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of Java/JEE experience, with at least 2 years in a tech lead or architecture role.
  • Strong in Java 8 & 21, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, REST/SOAP.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with microservices, API gateways, service discovery.
  • Hands-on with Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Front-end experience with Angular (13+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
  • Experience integrating with OCI services (Compute, Load Balancer, IAM, etc.).
  • Solid database skills with Oracle SQL.
  • Understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Comfortable with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems to microservices.
  • Familiarity with WebSphere or similar containers.
  • Knowledge of JMS/Kafka and distributed caching.
  • Exposure to QA automation tools like ACCELQ.
  • Experience with performance tuning and disaster recovery planning.
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem-solving and system design skills.
  • Clear communication and ability to present technical decisions.
  • Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Proactive in exploring new technologies and cloud patterns.
