Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT PMO to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will head the IT PMO and be responsible for developing the end-to-end strategy, technical vision, and leadership to enhance program delivery and PMO maturity across IT project portfolios. You will align the business strategy with the successful execution of planning, governance, risks and issues, infrastructure, and integration.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the operation of the IT PMO, ensuring the alignment of the top-down vision, goals, and objectives from the business strategy.
Develop and implement a common set of standards and processes across the planning and execution of IT and Cyber projects.
Lead the cross-functional planning process and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop solutions that deliver program initiatives.
Track progress, understand dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status to upper management and stakeholders.
Proactively remove obstacles and manage issue escalations to drive progress and ensure the team is highly effective.
Collaborate with program leads and internal resources to manage project budgets, develop and present business cases for capital projects, and provide overall financial recommendations.
Develop a broad understanding of the technical implementation landscape and proposed technical alternatives.
Oversee the negotiation and administration of vendor, outsourcer, consultant contracts, and service agreements.
Ensure compliance with all IT Project Management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Utilize skills in IT project management, business process functions, and business process improvement to drive the successful completion of IT projects.
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience in a related role, preferably as a PMO in IT.
Proven track record in IT project management, demonstrating the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
A deep understanding of Business Process Functions, with the ability to apply this knowledge to streamline operations.
Demonstrated expertise in Business Process Improvement, with a focus on increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on innovative solutions and continuous improvement.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
Certifications such as PMP or Prince2 are highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret complex data.
Proven track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make sound judgments based on data and information.
Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
High level of integrity and detail oriented.
