Position: Software Engineer IV
Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

Job Overview:
The Software Engineer IV will oversee application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This role involves monitoring system applications, ensuring smooth operations, and creating reports and documentation to outline findings and solutions. The position is part of the Technology department and requires a high level of technical expertise and leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to management on processes and techniques for improved operations.
  • Install and configure systems and other software.
  • Test installed software for malfunction detection.
  • Identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Design and deploy new applications and enhance existing applications, software, and operating systems.
  • Measure the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve systems.
  • Monitor and test system performance.
  • Train junior engineers to improve job skills and work efficiency.
  • Take full ownership of processes and act as a procedural expert.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in a related role.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to collaborate with programmers, developers, and other technology professionals to achieve common objectives.
  • Proficiency in conducting system analysis to detect performance issues.
  • Capability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of software testing techniques, code optimization, and software debugging.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of software structures, hardware, computing systems, and their integration.

Additional Skills:
  • Experience with MuleSoft Ecosystems.
  • Proficiency in one programming language (e.g., C#, Java, Python).
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow, CMDB, and API management.
  • Experience managing and monitoring MuleSoft Runtime Fabric (RTF) and Flex API gateway clusters deployed on Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
  • Experience with API Gateway implementation and migration activities.
  • Production support and troubleshooting experience using AnyPoint Monitoring, Splunk, and Dynatrace.
  • Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift cluster administration.
  • Good understanding of Open API specification/RAML/Swagger.
  • Familiarity with API contract and API governance.

  • Senior candidate to collaborate with API Owners to review API specifications.

  • Mentor and guide team members for API governance-related activities.
