Description & Requirements

The Entitlements Management and Reporting System (EMRS) Apps team builds state-of-the-art software to support product implementation and client-facing tools that allow clients to manage their data distribution, users, applications and respective permissions. We also are building out new features that allow our clients to monitor their Bloomberg hardware and build more resilient market data applications as a result. Our primary technical stack is Python and Typescript (Flask, React, NodeJS). Our enterprise software makes up part of one of the fastest growing areas of Bloomberg (Enterprise Data - Real-time), and we work directly with clients on the cutting edge of financial technology.
We'll trust you to:
  • Collaborate within an Agile, multi-disciplinary, fast-moving team
  • Communicate and interact with product managers and end users
  • Work across multiple teams in Engineering
  • Bring in outstanding open-source technologies (with option to contribute back)
  • Write detailed technical documentation throughout all stages of a project's lifecycle
You'll need to have:
  • 4+ years experience in Python and frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI or Django
  • A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, similar field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Exposure to JavaScript (ES5/ES6), including modern web frameworks along with HTML, CSS
  • Experience working with APIs and API Best Practices
  • Working knowledge of databases
  • BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field or equivalent industry experience
We'd love to see:
  • Open Source Contributions
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Continuous Integration, Automated Testing, and Deployment tools
  • SRE Mindset (debugging, performance, low-latency)
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience with Apache Solr or Apache Spark
  • Experience with system design, especially systems that process data at scale

Salary Range = 00 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
