Senior Linux Engineer | Contract-to-Hire
North Houston | Hybrid (3 days onsite)
Our client is hiring a Senior Linux Engineer to support enterprise Linux workloads in a Microsoft Azure environment. This is a hands-on, contract-to-hire role working closely with on-site teams.
What you'll do
* Support and optimize Linux (RHEL/Rocky/Ubuntu) systems in Azure
* Automate provisioning, patching, and monitoring
* Troubleshoot complex OS, networking, and cloud issues
* Partner with DevOps and application teams
What we're looking for
* 7+ years Linux systems engineering experience
* Strong Azure + Linux background
* Scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Ansible)
Important requirements
* U.S. Citizenship required due to job-specific system access
* No sponsorship available
* Not a remote role (hybrid T/W/Th onsite in North Houston)
