We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Architect to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions on the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). This role is central to driving cloud adoption, optimizing data infrastructure, and ensuring compliance across the organization's technical environment.

responsibilities:
Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures utilizing a full spectrum of Google Cloud Platform services (e.g., Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, GCS, Dataflow, etc.).
Develop and maintain architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and enterprise-wide best practices.
Build and manage data pipelines using key Google Cloud Platform tools such as Airflow Composer, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataflow, and Dataproc.
Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub for continuous integration and delivery.
Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform or Google Cloud Deployment Manager to ensure consistency and automation.
Collaborate on the design and implementation of complex network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, peering, VPNs, and load balancing.
Manage IAM, roles, and policies for secure access, resource governance, and compliance.
Oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using native Google Cloud Platform tools (Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and Ops Agent).
Proactively optimize cloud resource usage for maximum cost efficiency and performance.
Apply industry best practices for data security, identity management, encryption, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
Implement workload and data protection mechanisms utilizing Cloud KMS, VPC Service Controls, and Security Command Center.
Mentor data engineers, lead technical workshops, and guide design reviews.
Act as a subject-matter expert (SME) on Google Cloud Platform technologies and advocate for strategic cloud adoption across cross-functional teams.
qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) stack: Compute, Storage & Databases, Networking, Security, and Monitoring.
- Proficiency in one or more languages, including Python and Shell scripting, with experience writing automation scripts and APIs.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT design and tools (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Composer). Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and streaming analytics.
- Proven experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset, with excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business requirements into functional technical solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (implied by the level of expertise).
