Swoon is actively hiring an EDA Database Architect to join the team!
What your day-to-day will look like?
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable database architectures to support FPGA and Quartus tool development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define data models, gather requirements, and implement optimized database solutions.
- Ensure high database performance, data integrity, and availability through proactive tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Create and maintain comprehensive database documentation including schemas, data flow diagrams, and procedures.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior database engineers, fostering best practices in design and performance optimization.
What's Required / Technical Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with 8-10+ years of experience in database architecture, design, and development (EDA or semiconductor industry preferred).
- Deep understanding of EDA tools, and preferably FPGA design tools and methodologies, with hands-on experience in data modeling, optimization, and performance tuning.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Preferred: Proficiency with EDA open standard databases such as OpenAccess, Milkyway, SDF, Liberty, and UPF.
